New Head of Research

We are very happy to announce that as of 1st of February 2021, Franziska Wandrey will take over the position of Head of Research at Mibelle Biochemistry.

Franziska is taking over the position from Daniel Schmid, who is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement.

We would like to thank Daniel for all his valuable contributions over the last 20+ years. He created numerous novel biochemical concepts for active ingredient development, many of which were awarded with innovation prizes. Over the past years, he built up and led a team of study managers who contribute to proving the efficacy of new developments and formulation technicians who ensure the compatibility of our actives in various formulations. THANK YOU Daniel!

Franziska joined Mibelle Biochemistry in 2015. She studied biochemistry at ETH Zurich and graduated with a Master of Science with distinction. In 2014, she received her PhD in Biochemistry at the ETHZ, on the topic of ribosome biogenesis in human cells. In 2020, she completed her education with an MBA with a Master's thesis on innovation management.

For more than 5 years, Franziska has been contributing her knowledge and innovation to the research team at Mibelle Biochemistry. During this time, Franziska has published numerous papers and was awarded, among others, the Maison G De Navarre Young Scientist Prize of the IFSCC in 2017. Several active ingredient concepts already carry her signature and we are grateful that we could win Franziska to now take over the lead of the Science team of Mibelle Biochemistry.

Please join us in welcoming Franziska to her new role!
