Cornelia Schürch is Managing Director of Mibelle Biochemistry and has been working for Mibelle Biochemistry since 2002. Her responsibilities include the management of product developments and compliance, as well as the lead of production and marketing. She and her team ensure that Mibelle Biochemistry’s actives are developed using profound know-how and consistently high quality.
In 1991, Fred Zülli founded the business unit Mibelle Biochemistry when he came up with the idea of developing high quality, scientific ingredients for the cosmetic industry based on novel biochemical concepts for the skin. He has since expanded the business and enriched Mibelle Biochemistry’s product portfolio with pioneering product ideas. After being a Managing director for 30 years, he is now the Business Development director and leads the research department and the sales team.
Esther Belser joined Mibelle Biochemistry in 1998. Her role is to define the overall marketing and communication concepts of the company. With her team, she is responsible for all marketing activities.
Michael Müller and his team are in charge of production and worldwide distribution, while he is also responsible for infrastructure and the implementation of new technologies.
Franziska Wandrey has been working for Mibelle Biochemistry since 2015. As Head of Research, she is responsible for designing innovative biochemical concepts and for ensuring the high efficacy of the active ingredients. She and her team plan and monitor all in vitro and in vivo efficacy studies and support Mibelle Biochemistry’s customers with their formulation projects.
Torsten Grothe joined Mibelle Biochemistry in 2016. He and his team are in charge for the implementation, extension and management of a sustainable food supplement ingredients portfolio (Food & Health).
Bernhard Henes has been working for Mibelle Biochemistry since 2013. As Head of Product Development he is responsible for the product development of active ingredients for the cosmetic industry. Together with his team he transforms all the innovative ideas from the lab into production.
Stéphane Poigny has worked for more than 20 years in cosmetics and dermocosmetics in the development of partnerships, active ingredients and innovative products within large French companies. Since October 2020, he is R&D director of Mibelle Biochemistry France and supports New Business Developments in France and globally. Stéphane Poigny has a PhD in organic chemistry from Sorbonne University in Paris and National Museum of Natural History in Paris.
He is an expert in Biomimicry and bio-inspired innovations.
Vincent Briffaut is working in cosmetic industry since 2005. He joined Mibelle Biochemistry in 2009 to launch the French entity as Sales Director France.
He and his team are in charge of the complete French market for sales, direct promotion and commercial activities to the french brands, formulation labs or contract manufacturers.
Mike is leading the US sales and marketing team. He has been working for more than 20 years in the cosmetic ingredients industry and therefore brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Mibelle Biochemistry to further develop and grow the US market.
Mibelle Biochemistry Switzerland designs and develops unique, high-quality actives for the beauty, nutraceutical and food industry which are based on naturally derived compounds and extensive scientific expertise.
This independent business unit within the Mibelle Group was founded in 1991 by Dr. Fred Zülli in Buchs, Switzerland. In a short period of time, Mibelle Biochemistry has developed an excellent reputation throughout the world as a creator of innovative active ingredient concepts as well as being a real expert in the fields of biotechnology and biochemistry. Its broad line of actives is available in more than fifty different countries around the globe.
Recently, its experience and wide ranging expertise in the cosmetic industry became also available for the food, beverage and dietary supplement industry. Under the portfolio “food & health” Mibelle Biochemistry offers a selection of effective beauty-from-within and anti-aging products.
Mibelle Biochemistry operates independently within the Mibelle Group, which is the largest manufacturer of cosmetic end products in Switzerland. The Mibelle Group belongs to Migros, Switzerland’s largest retailer, which has over 94,000 employees. In 1925, Gottlieb Duttweiler founded Migros as a cooperative characterized by a unique social concept.
