CollPerfect™ P6 is an encapsulated bioactivating hexapeptide with a sequence based on the human skin type I collagen. It stimulates collagen synthesis and encourages dermal remodeling, effectively rejuvenating the skin and improving its overall quality and appearance.
CollPerfect™ P6 is a six amino acid peptide that contains the characteristic triplet sequence Gly-X-Y of the native human skin type I collagen and its most abundant amino acids: Gly-HyP-Lys-Gly-Pro-Lys. The use of a hexapeptide is a strategic choice as short peptides can penetrate the skin more easily than larger molecules and the presence of Lys improves its solubility. Building on this advantage, the biocompatible peptide is encapsulated into liposomes to ensure its stability and delivery to deeper skin layers and then spray granulated on maltodextrin to guarantee the long shelf life of CollPerfect™ P6.
