Frosty Collagen-Boosting Gel with CollPerfect™ P6

We all know the ideal of beauty: pore-free, rosy skin. Plump and even. Flawless.

Easily achievable with a walk through the cold winter air or a bike ride to work in the morning. Unfortunately, the effect does not last long in heated rooms with dry air.

It is no wonder that the trend of cryo-cosmetics is still a hot topic. Cooling masks, eye creams and face gels have an immediate effect. These products imitate the cold winter air and, with the help of menthol and other cooling active ingredients, magically create rosy skin. In addition, the pores contract, creating a smooth skin surface. But this effect does not last long either. Foundations & Co. provide a remedy here. To avoid having to use a ton of make-up, perfectly cared-for skin as a basis is a must.

As inspiration for an innovative product and for the launch of our new active ingredient CollPerfect™ P6, here is a suitable guide formulation:

How to formulate Frosty Collagen-Boosting Gel with CollPerfect™ P6

With just a few ingredients, a frozen gel can be produced, which is also a cold production and works in a one-pot process.

Let's start with phase A: a little more time is needed here. To dissolve the phyeteq™ raspberry, it must be stirred with water, butylene glycol and pentylene glycol for at least 30 minutes. As soon as all crystals are dissolved, CollPerfect™ P6 can be added.

Let's move on to phase B: it is very important that after the dissolution of CollPerfect™ P6, the pH is measured and adjusted to pH 6-7. The Aquakeep 10 SH-NFC requires this range to form a stable gel and to display a frosted-iced gel surface.

After that, the ingredients for phases C & D can be added one after the other while stirring. The gel structure will break down briefly but will reform immediately.

Finally, stir in the Cosmospheres pearls. They are not only a visual highlight but also provide a gentle instant cooling effect on the skin.

For those who wonder why I have decided for a gel former that requires a pH range of 6-7: the goal is to take advantage of the quick-breaking effect as an additional cooling effect on the skin. Healthy skin has a natural pH of 4.3. At pH < 6, the gel breaks down and the water slowly evaporates on the skin, creating a cooling effect. The skin is supplied with moisture and plumped with the help of CollPerfect™ P6, the pores contract, creating a fresh complexion and perfectly preparing the skin for daytime make-up.

The Frosty Collagen Boosting Gel can be used as a refreshing active ingredient serum or as a primer to perfectly prepare the skin.
